Todays Daily Tarot Card is The Hanged Man, the card of sacrifice. Here we see the man hanging upside down by his ankle naked, tied to a tree. There is a huge bunch of mistletoe in the tree. Behind him is a beautiful golden meadow of wheat.
So what is it that you need to let go off in life? Sometimes when we lose something we gain something much greater. This is very much an awareness card, he is becoming aware of his own inner wisdom, through sacrifice we gain a greater understanding of our true self. So stop trying so hard, gain that deeper self awareness, there is no need to try so hard. Relax and true freedom and independence will come your way. If we go back to the mistletoe that is in the tree we already know it is the symbol of love. The Druids knew the sacred relationship between mistletoe and trees. As the trees lay dormant in the winter the mistletoe would thrive. It is a symbol of the circle of life, of everlasting life. Even today people kiss under the mistletoe.
